Due to growth we are now looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience to join our professional team based in Thame.

As a Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for:-

• Building of Pharmaceutical and Radiopharmaceutical isolators to include both mechanical and electrical disciplines
• Ability to work from detailed engineering drawings
• Fault finding and diagnosing of issues
• Final testing and validation to Pharmaceutical standards
• Installation to clients premises
• Breakdown visits

Ideally you will have the following attributes:-

• Recognised engineering qualification
• Have the ability to work individually as well as within a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Good standard of mathematics
• Clean driving licence
• Although not essential previous experience working within the Pharmaceutical industry would be advantageous

The purchase of these units was funded by The Institute of Cancer Research.

The isolators supplied are bespoke units designed in conjunction with the customer to meet their exact requirements. Whilst based around standard designs they incorporated features to provide the users with additional radiation protection in the form of moveable body shields.

Other features include the facility to monitor both viable and non-viable particles, automated leak testing of the critical work zone, LED lighting for reduced energy consumption, integrated CCTV PZM Cameras for viewing critical work zones from the preparation room, and a hinged shelf for the particle counters when in use.

The four members of the MBO team, Michael Bourne, David Fane, Lee Harrington and Roberto Lucatello, have all worked at Amercare Ltd for more than 20 years and have covered all aspects of the Companies activities.
