We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our customers that this change in ownership will have no negative effect on the day-to-day operations or quality of service you receive.

The contacts for technical, service or sales enquires will also remain unchanged.

These panels are available in a single thickness of nominally 8mm.

A standard acrylic panel is used to create the sealed, leak tight enclosure, the lead glass panel is then placed in front of that panel to give radiation protection to the operator and is secured in place.

These Lead Glass panels can be specified as part of a new isolator specification / purchase or can equally be purchased to replace existing Premac © (Lead Acrylic) Glove Port panels.

Amercare is synonymous with innovation and leadership in world-wide development, provision and after-sales service of isolators and containment technology.

Due to growth we are now looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience to join our professional team based in Thame.

As a Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for:-

• Building of Pharmaceutical and Radiopharmaceutical isolators to include both mechanical and electrical disciplines
• Ability to work from detailed engineering drawings
• Fault finding and diagnosing of issues
• Final testing and validation to Pharmaceutical standards
• Installation to clients premises
• Breakdown visits

Ideally you will have the following attributes:-

• Recognised engineering qualification
• Have the ability to work individually as well as within a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Good standard of mathematics
• Clean driving licence
• Although not essential previous experience working within the Pharmaceutical industry would be advantageous

Salary – competitive, annual bonus scheme and overtime

We are afraid that at this time we are still unable to offer service or breakdown repair visits to those customers that are outside of the UK. This is being continually reviewed based on the governments advice. We hope that we will soon be in a position to support our overseas customers as we normally do.

We continue to ask that all customers keep us updated as to your hospital’s policy regarding visits by external contractors, and any special measures engineers attending site will need to adhere to. This includes using different parking areas or entrances from those normally used.

Equally we are still receiving deliveries of consumables. Please note however that the manufacturer of the sleeves / gauntlets are not currently producing Latex products however we do have good stocks of all of these items.

Service & Breakdown visits are being carried out as planned. However due to the lack of accommodation for our engineers there is currently a reduced radius from out Oxfordshire premises, we can operate in as the engineers need to be able to travel to and from site, and carry out any work required in a single day.

We apologise for any issues that this may cause our customers based in more outlying areas, but we will continue to support all customers the best that we can. We will also endeavour, as soon as the restrictions are eased that are causing us issues in regards to accommodation, to catch up with the cancellation visits as quickly as possible.

If you find you need to cancel a previously arranged visit we would ask that you inform us as soon as possible so that we can then book the engineer onto a another job if possible.

As per the previous updates we will keep our customers updated if there are any developments via both this website and emails.

We continue to ask that you also keep us updated as to your hospital’s policy regarding visits by external contractors.

We fully appreciate that this is a very fluid, and fast changing situation but ask that you inform us of any changes of policy within your hospital / trust.
