LabLogic Systems, alongside Australia-based partner iPHASE technologies, have installed the UK’s first MultiSyn radiosynthesis module at University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire (UHCW).

This equipment has been integrated into their new Amercare Medium Activity Isolator

This unit will have an additional Grade A Process Enclosure to the right-hand side of the fully shielded enclosure to assist the customer’s workflow within their department.

This additional enclosure with have shielding to its base, rear and roof with shielding protection to the operators provided by two, movable body shields. Each of which have 50mm of lead shielding and a 100mm thick RW52 Lead Glass Window.

Other features on this isolator include a Isokinetic Collection Head (for Continuous Particle Monitoring), a Cherwell SAS Super 180 Microbial Air Sampler, and a integrated PTZ CCTV Camera to allow for remote checking of product.

Amercare are looking forward to working with GenesisCare on this project for what will be a class leading service within the Private sector.

These units are to be installed within a new RadioPharmacy department currently being built on the Castle Hill Hospital site by Hobson & Porter

This new department is being mostly funded by the Daisy Appeal, a charity that helps to fund cutting-edge research and the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment and facilities.

Additional funding for the project has also been provided by the University of Hull

The Tc Dispensing isolator whilst based on a standard product has had additonal features added.

These include additonal lead shielding to the central Grade A Process Section and the integration of a Touch Screen monitor within the same section of the isolator.

The Blood Cell Labelling isolator is one of our standard products.

Both isolators feature our Fully Automated Leak Testing feature for the Process Sections, and have integrated into them Capintec CRC55Rt Dose Calibrators

The third unit is a RadioPharmacy workstation that has 50mm of lead shielding beneath the floor of the box. This unit is based around a Vertical Laminar Flow cabinet.

This unit will be reverse handed from our Standard Product to assist the customer’s workflow within their Radiopharmacy department

The isolator will recirculate the extracted air back into the cleanroom and is also fitted with an onboard Carbon filter as part of the extract system

This isolator features Unidirectional Airflow within the Process section, and a high air change rate turbulent flow loading drawer

The isolator is for the dispensing of PET radiopharmaceuticals and has been designed for the optimum dose reduction whilst still allowing for ease of use.

An Amercare Dose Dispenser is integrated within the process section to aid this dose reduction.

This product will be available from stock in Hand Sizes 7 and 8 with Hand Size 9 as a special order item

The isolators supplied are bespoke units designed in conjunction with the customer to meet their exact requirements. Whilst based around standard designs they incorporated features to provide the users with additional radiation protection in the form of moveable body shields.

Other features include the facility to monitor both viable and non-viable particles, automated leak testing of the critical work zone, LED lighting for reduced energy consumption, integrated CCTV PZM Cameras for viewing critical work zones from the preparation room, and a hinged shelf for the particle counters when in use.
